I noticed in all of your photos that your hair always looks flawless! I'm lookin
g for a product that will
give me movie-star caliber hair. How do they get their hair so shiny?! I tried using Fekkai
Glossing Cream and different types of cheaper gloss sprays, but somehow my hair starts out looking like Farrah Fawcett and then ends up looking like a bundle of wheat halfway through my work day. Is there a more natural way I can enhance its shine? i.e. diet or type of water? I don't mind spending a few extra dollars. Any advice?
Sincerely,

Dear Seriously Lacking Luster,
Thanks for the comment and the compliment about always looking flawless! I'
m definitely not flawless so maybe some of the many dollars i've spent on beauty products are finally starting to pay off ;) As far as giving you advice on how to get your hair to look like a celebrity, well i'm still trying to craft that look myself....But I definitely have a few tips that I've just recently realized help to keep my hair healthy and shiny throughout those long workdays. Of course like you say your diet and water in take is a big factor of how well your hair and skin look. And I also believe that the Biotin supplement that I talked about previously helps my hair all around. But recently I started using a product by bed head that I absolutely love and it is targeted and just that...hair shine!
BEDHEAD Headrush
Shine Adrenaline with a superfine mist
This stuff is pretty awesome. I bought it at Ulta ($12-$15) after I read a celebrity hair stylist named it as 1 of her top 5 products she always carried with her to photoshoots. Needless to say I'm very impressed. Th
e back of the bottle says that it is "Superfine supershine that will go straight to your head. This lightweight spray gives your hair extreme gloss with all over coverage"... I agree. I use this after i've straightened or curled my hair to tame fly aways and to add alittle shine to the hair that looks dry after i've used a hot tool on it. I'll randomly spray it on during the day to add brightness to my dull locks during the mid-day blahs. It's definitely a must have in my book & I think you would love it too, SLL! ;)
Another thing that I believe helps my hair is simple but easy to skip. Brushing. Yeah, I do it in the morning
when I'm getting ready....and yeah i brush my hair at night before I go to bed...But how often do we remember to brush our hair during the day? And isn't this when our hair tends to get the blahs? or as some would say when we get our bundle of wheat? ha ha ;) I've started carrying a mini brush with me in my purse to work and during one of my quick bathroom breaks I run it through my hair & its as if i just spent 30 minutes getting ready again! It's crazy how much of a difference it truly makes! But why would just brushing rejuvenate your hair that much? While some believe that when using a boar bristle brush it helps to distribute the natural oils down the hair shaft which has the same effect of distributing natural shine. I agree but I dont believe it has to be a boar bristle brush to do this. I think any kind of brush
will work!
